There are seven Urtext manuscripts, one for each volume. Each is available in a Facsimile (manuscript photocopy) and an E-Text (re-typed searchable copy) version.
Clicking any of the volume names will load an Acrobat PDF file into your PDF Viewer. The Text and Workbook facsimile files are rather large, and in some circumstances may take some time to load. The only way “back” here after loading a PDF file is to close the PDF window.
Several referencing systems are used to facilitate locating a particular passage in any of these documents. For the Facsimiles the manuscript page number is usually the most useful reference, but chapter and section divisions have also been inserted and Bookmarked for reference. In the searchable E-texts the manuscript page number is embedded in the text in bold, bracketed numbers and the chapter and section divisions are also marked and Bookmarked.
The Bookmarks in these files mark volume, chapter and section divisions, and most sections are only a few pages, so that information alone will usually get you very close to the page you’re looking for. For more detailed information on the Referencing used see Referencing Explained.
